Insert tool for cylinderhead resurfacers.
New design, improved engineering made in germany, replaced previous versions.
Diameter = 12 mm.
Length = 78 mm.
Suitable for 12mm round fit.
Clamping possible from left side, right side and upside. The three-sided clamping surface means that there are no longer any problems with ordering: The holder can be clamped in the existing 12 mm bore, regardless of the direction of rotation of the machine.
The extended 78mm version gives you a larger machining area compared to the 60mm long fixed standard turning tools.
Suitable for machines from Caorle / Comec / Hoster / PMD Piccinotti / Scledum / KWT / etc.
Scope of delivery: 1 piece tool holder without insert.
Did you know?
Why do the tools have a multi-sided flat?
There are two reasons for this: Firstly, the surface is used for clamping; the tool can be clamped better on a straight surface than on a radius. Second, the surface serves as an anti-twist device. Thanks to the clamping, the tool is centered at the intended angle, deviations in the working position are avoided.
Why do the tools have 2 countersinks?
The countersinks are important when working with the combined grinding-turning unit.
The upper countersink is used for clamping in the working position when turning. The lower countersink is used in the rest position when the tool is not in use and the grinding device is used instead.
Why shouldn't I just remove the turning tool when I don't need it?
The rotary grinding units are finely balanced at the factory. The tool is clamped here.
If you remove the tool holder or lathe chisel, you create an artificial imbalance that has a negative effect on the work result and also on the durability of the machine.
